Ana & Eric

Ana & Eric (Ana Luísa Ramos & Eric Taylor Escudero) are a Brazilian duo based in St. John’s, Newfoundland & Labrador, known for their unique blend of Brazilian bossa nova and North American indie-folk. The duo has performed across Brazil, Europe, and Canada, building an international audience through their warm, intimate sound and bilingual repertoire.

In 2020, they released two singles, “Hope” and “Lights My Way,” followed by their debut self-titled EP, which earned a nomination for the 2021 ECMA Awards and three nominations at the 2021 MusicNL Awards.

Their debut album, Our House From Here (2023), and its singles “I Can See Our House From Here” and “Manhã de Abril” received acclaim in Brazil, Portugal, and Canada. The album was nominated for Global Recording of the Year at the 2024 ECMA Awards and received three nominations at the 2023 MusicNL Awards.

Ana Luísa Ramos, the duo’s vocalist and multi-instrumentalist, has also received significant individual recognition. At the 2024 MusicNL Awards, she won Jazz Artist of the Year and Global Artist of the Year. In 2025, she won the ECMA Global Release of the Year for her song “Clouds.”

Ana & Eric are now entering a new chapter with their sophomore album, Older Than Sadness, set for release in early 2027. The album’s first single, “Autumn Bliss,” will be released on September 22, 2026. Blending bossa nova and folk, the song continues the duo’s exploration of Brazilian musical traditions through a distinctly North American lens, bringing together their signature bilingual, cross-cultural sound with the work of Newfoundland musicians and collaborators.
