If you’re into east coast music, chances are you’ve heard Chris Kirby’s work lately.
The New-foundland-born producer, writer and musician regularly works with some of Canada’s finest artists ; Kirby’s deep catalogue of co-writes includes the recent #1 Canadian Rock radio hit “The Breakdown”(The Trews), and a slew of other popular releases from the likes of Matt Andersen, Logan Richard, The East Pointers, and Wide Mouth Mason. Many of his songs and cuts have been placed in TV and Film in Canada and USA (CBC, CTV, ABC, Hallmark and more).
Operating primarily from Funk Island Lab in East Lawrence town, Nova Scotia, Chris is a producer focused on discovering and developing rising stars. He has produced ECMA-winning projects for emerging artists including Yvette Lorraine (NL), Quote the Raven (NL), and Andrew Waite (PE). In 2022, Kirby co-wrote and produced Riley Taylor’s debut single “Good Things”, which was released on Warner Music Canada and kickstarted the country artist’s career. An award-winning artist in his own right, Chris has released 5 full-length solo albums, toured across the country, and enjoyed national CBC radio success.
