Lloyd Spiegel is a bluesman at his core, a guitarist by trade, a comedian by nature and a showman at heart. The fourteen-time Australian Blues Award winner began performing at the age of ten and has dedicated his life to creating a signature style that honours the traditions of the music he loves, while creating a link in the chain of its evolution.
With ten albums and a near non-stop tour schedule that takes him to North America, Europe, New Zealand and Japan, Spiegel performs over one hundred shows a year on theatre stages and major festivals across the world.
Whether solo, or with his trio - Tim Burnham (drums) and Lisa Baird (trombone), his performance delivers a unique, captivating performance that crosses genres and generations, re-inventing the Blues by blending powerful vocals and jaw-dropping musical prowess with a knack for humour and storytelling.
Recently inducted into the Blues Music Victoria Hall of Fame—the youngest artist ever to receive this honour. Driven by a strong belief that everyone deserves the opportunity to make music, Spiegel continues to give back to the community through his instrument-donation program for schools, volunteer work with an all-abilities choir, and ambassador roles with Blues Music Victoria and Make Music Australia.
A long-time collaborator with Cole Clark Guitars, Spiegel inspired the company’s Lloyd Spiegel Signature Series, including the groundbreaking “True Hybrid” models that fuse acoustic and electric guitars through world-first patented technology.
