Vince Degiorgio

Vincent Degiorgio, founder/president of Cymba Music Publishing is an industry veteran who brings a wealth of experience from all facets of the industry to his work as a publisher. As the former VP International A&R at RCA Records, Vince was responsible for signing N Sync in the US and he is also the newly elected president of The Board of Directors of the Canadian Music Publishers Association.

Cymba, an acronym for ‘ Crushing Your Music Business Apathy”, has become one of the most pro-active and creative music publishing entities in Canada. With an unprecedented global reach and a focus on the international market for recorded music and synch, it is home for writers Davor Vulama (Hedley), Aileen de la Cruz (Hipjoint’ s “Let’ s Go”), Ari Rhodes (Bryan Finlay, Lexi Strate) Ian Smith, Olivia Wik and multiple award winner, Dennis Ellsworth. Songs by the Cymba team have been recorded in over a dozen languages to date.

Vincent is also a multimillion selling songwriter, who’ s most recent work with Dutch pop star Caro Emerald recently passed the two million album sales threshold. Caro’ s sophomore effort, “The Shocking Miss Emerald” debuted at # 1 on the Music Week album chart, and was co-written by Vince in its entirety.

He has proudly served on numerous boards including the SAC, is on the advisory board of MROC and the board of the Canadian Songwriters Hall of Fame.


Libby Elming

Toronto based Independent consultant Libby Elming comes to Cymba Music with a diverse music industry background, including experience working with iconic Canadian songwriter Marc Jordan (whose songwriter credits include cuts with Rod Stewart, Cher, Amanda Marshall, Joe Cocker, and Bonnie Raitt), as well as completing several projects for the Songwriters Association of Canada (Songworks & Song Library programs) and the Canadian Music Publishers Association (CMPA Create LA initiative).

At Cymba, Libby is responsible for the day to day administrative operations of the company as well as several creative tasks including running Cymba’s songwriting camps, setting up co-writing sessions, and liaising with music supervisors, record labels and Cymba’s network of international sub-publishers. Special skills include event planning, songwriter catalogue organization, catalogue promotion, grant management, as well as social media assistance, live gig support, and a host of other administrative and organizational work. 

A classically trained musician, Libby also completed several seasons with the Canadian Opera Company in Toronto.




Amy Lloyd

Since joining the company in early 2015, Synchronization Representative Amy Lloyd has promoted the Cymba catalogue to a wide network of contacts in Canada and abroad. Liaising with music supervisors, media creators, and the company’s own sub-publishers, Amy has helped to place the perfect “Cymba song” in a variety of projects.

Amy has also worked at Toronto City Hall in the Music Unit of the Film and Entertainment Industries Office. Her projects included managing the Live from City Hall showcase on Nathan Phillips Square, planning and facilitating meetings on behalf of Music Sector Development and the Toronto Music Advisory Council, and connecting with domestic and international music industry stakeholders. She also volunteers at various music festivals in and around the city.

Amy will be among the first cohort to graduate from Ryerson University’s Creative Industries program, with specializations in music and broadcast media.
